Lead Through Convergence

Sharper judgement. Broader response. Stronger organisation.

A method that keeps working for senior leaders, and the organisations relying on them.

A 90-day program for senior leaders in NGO health, community and human services. Built around the Convergence Trap Strategic Field Guide, the Centring Star framework, and the Lead with Confidence in Times of Complex Change toolkit.

Why this program exists

Senior leaders in NGO health, community and human services are shaping their organisation’s response while conditions keep shifting. Funding, workforce, regulatory, commissioning and technology forces are landing at once. What worked in steadier conditions is not always holding.

When the old patterns stop fitting, senior leaders feel it first. Their read of what is coming takes longer than it should, and the framing of the response narrows to what feels safe. The cost shows up in CEO time, organisational momentum, and senior leaders working harder than the role should ask of them.

What is in the program

A 90-day program. One in-person workshop in Brisbane, two virtual implementation labs, and reinforcement across the full 90 days.

  • One in-person workshop day in Brisbane on Thursday 30 July 2026, held at Optimal Space in Enoggera. Plenty of parking, accessible by train and bus.

  • Two virtual implementation labs across the 90 days. These are practice clinics where participants apply the method to live issues they bring, reflect on what worked, what did not and learn from each other.

  • The Lead with Confidence in Times of Complex Change toolkit, in participants’ own hands. The working method they continue using after the program.

  • The Centring Star framework as the structure for effective judgement when everything shifts.

  • The Convergence Trap Strategic Field Guide and other emerging signals shaping NGO operating conditions provide the strategic context.

  • Patterns and insights drawn from the Peer Room and the Wider Lens.

  • Regular email reinforcement throughout the program prompts participation in the cohort WhatsApp group across the 90 days.

  • A peer cohort of senior leaders across organisations.

  • Pre and post diagnostic assessments. CEO sponsors complete observer input before and after.

  • Delivered personally by Susanne Le Boutillier.

Who comes

Senior leaders in NGO health, community and human services who are accountable for outcomes their organisation depends on. Whether they lead operations, a function, a service, or a major program of work. Stepping beyond delivery to shape what their organisation does next.

Apply yourself or come at your CEO’s invitation. Both routes are screened for fit and built around your live work, not an assessment of your past.

Where do your senior leaders sit on this?

Where do you?

What participants take back

  • A working method that becomes part of how they think and respond.

  • Sharper judgement when the call has to be made.

  • More curiosity, and more insightful questioning of emerging issues.

  • Peers across organisations.

  • Evidence of their own development across the 90 days.

  • The Lead with Confidence in Times of Complex Change toolkit, in their own hands, for ongoing use.

What the organisation gets

  • A senior leader applying a working method to the live issues their organisation is sitting inside.

  • Well-framed issues reaching the CEO earlier, with context, implications and options.

  • Senior leaders catching their own thinking earlier, with a reframed assumption or a changed stakeholder approach.

  • The CEO carries less of the interpretive load.

  • The organisation responds to convergence by design rather than by reaction, and has time to move while options stay open.

  • Pre and post measurement makes the return on investment measurable.
